Today will be an unsettled day across Newfoundland, much the same way it was last night.

An area of low pressure centred off the west coast of the Island will deliver rain to most areas of the Island today.

There is a risk of thunderstorms across Newfoundland today. The risk for the Avalon Peninsula will diminish throughout the morning but elsewhere, the risk will extend into this afternoon.

Counts precipitation from overnight, rainfall amounts will be in the range of 5 to 10 mm across the Island, but locally higher amounts are possible in thunderstorms.

Across Labrador, there is a chance of showers along the eastern half of the Big Land and sunny breaks are expected in western Labrador.
