A low will move across eastern Newfoundland later today and tonight.

Most of the province is starting out with nice weather today. Snow will move into eastern and southern Newfoundland early this afternoon. The snow will start in central this evening.

The heaviest snow will fall across the northern Avalon Peninsula, Clarenville, Terra Nova, Connaigre, and the Bonavista and Burin Peninsulas. In these areas, snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 cm are possible.

Outside the heaviest snow, places such as St. John's and Gander will only see 5 to 10 cm of snow.

Winds will gust from 80 km/h except 100 to 110 along parts of the coast.
