On Thursday, rain is expected across the west and south coast with ice pellets on the Northern Peninsula. A long duration, heavy rainfall followed by freezing rain and ice pellets is expected for Port Saunders and the Straits and Northern Peninsula East through this evening. Rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm are possible and 2 to 4 cm of ice pellets. Highs across the Island will be between 0 and 17.


10 to 15 cm of snow is anticipated for Norman Bay to Lodge Bay. Red Bay to L'Anse-au-Clair will see 10 to 15 cm of snow and freezing rain and ice pellets. Elsewhere across Labrador, a mix of sun and cloud is expected. Highs will be between zero and plus 4.
