Stormy weather continues across most of Newfoundland #nlwx

Heavy rain is continuing to fall across Newfoundland.

The Avalon Peninsula, Burin Peninsula, Connaigre, Bonavista Peninsula, and Clarenville and Vicinity will see the heaviest rain with amounts between 80 and 130 mm expected.

Terra Nova, Gander and Vicinity, Bonavista North, Bay of Exploits, Grand Falls - Windsor and vicinity, Buchans and the Interior, and Burgeo - Ramea. 60 to 90 mm are expected in these areas.

The rain started overnight and will end on Saturday morning.

There is the possibility of overflowing of creeks and rivers, flooding of basements, especially in poor drainage areas, road shoulder erosion and washouts, and scattered utility outages.
