Stormy weather coming to the Island today and Wednesday

It will be a wet and windy day across Newfoundland. Heavy rain is expected for the south coast, central, and eastern Newfoundland. Rainfall amounts of 30 to 60 mm are possible, with the heaviest rain expected along the south coast.

Winds along the south coast and the Avalon Peninsula will gust to 100 km/h today and Wednesday.

Some coastal flooding is possible along the south coast.
