Stormy Sunday Expected

A low pressure system will push across most of Newfoundland on Sunday.

On Sunday the low will snow to most of the Island with the exception of the Northern Peninsula. About 10 to 15 cm of snow is expected across most of Newfoundland except for parts of the south coast where 15 to 20 cm is possible. Along the south coast, the snow might be mixed with rain.

Winds will also be gusty, winds may reach 100 km/h in the Wreckhouse area.

Another much larger and complex low is behind this system for Tuesday and Wednesday. We will provide updates on that storm as we get more information. Marine Atlantic is already anticipating disruptions on Tuesday and Wednesday.
