Stormy morning across the province

It is a stormy morning in Newfoundland and Labrador. There is snow, mixed precipitation, rain, and gusty winds.

Conditions will gradually improve this morning. Drizzle or rain is expected across most of Newfoundland today. Overnight as temperatures precipitation will change back to flurries for most areas.

Another 5 to 10 cm of snow is expected across the west coast on Tuesday.

Labrador is also seeing stormy weather. Snowfall amounts of 30 to 50 cm combined with wind gusts to 100 km/h are expected for coastal sections. Stormy will continue until Wednesday for some areas.

Most schools in eastern, central, and western Newfoundland are closed at least for the morning. Some schools in Labrador are closed all day. A complete list can be found here.
