Storm to impact Newfoundland and Labrador
A low will impact Newfoundland and Labrador today, tonight, and tomorrow.
Snow will push across Newfoundland today and tonight. The snow will change to ice pellets and then freezing rain for all areas except the Northern Peninsula. Across central, southern, and western Newfoundland, precipitation will change to rain on Monday.
Across central and western Newfoundland significant snow is possible with 10 to 15 cm expected.
Power outages are possible for areas that will see an extended period of freezing rain.
For coastal and southeastern Labrador, 30 to 50 cm of snow is possible combined with wind gusts to 70 km/h tonight through Wednesday.
Marine Atlantic has cancelled all crossings for this morning and anticipates impacts to the crossings tonight.
