Storm to bring nasty weather to the province

There are several weather alerts in place across Newfoundland and Labrador.

An area of low pressure will push across the province tonight and Wednesday, bringing snow, rain, and strong winds.

Across the west coast, snowfall of 5 to 10 cm is expected, except 15 in the Gros Morne area. Winds will gust to 80 km/h, except 140 km/h in the Wreckhouse area.

For areas under just a blowing snow advisory, snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are possible along with wind gusts from 60 to 80 km/h.

In Labrador, from Churchill Valley to Upper Lake Melville, 20 to 30 cm is possible and over the Trans-Labrador Highway from Cartwright Junction to Upper Lake Melville 5 to 15 cm is expected. Coastal areas from Makkovik to Nain will receive about 15 to 30 cm.
