Storm moving across the province with rain, wind, and snow #nlwx

An area of low pressure will continue its jaunt across the province today.


Rain and strong winds are expected across the Island. The rain will be heaviest across the south and west coast where 20 to 40 mm is possible today. Elsewhere rainfall amounts will range from 5 to 15 mm. Winds will gust from 70 to 100 km/h. Highs will reach between 5 and 10.


In Labrador, snow is expected for Happy Valley-Goose Bay along with southeastern and coastal areas. Snowfall amounts will vary, but about 5 cm is expected in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Elsewhere across Labrador, a mix of sun and cloud is anticipated. It will be really cold across Labrador with highs from minus 15 to minus 29.
