Storm Closures for Jan 21, 2023

Due to the storm impacting eastern Newfoundland, there are a number of closures.

  • Metrobus will not operate all day today.

  • The Avalon Mall is closed all day.

  • The QEII Library is closed all day.

  • Liquor Stores in St. John’s, Mount Pearl, Paradise, CBS, Bay Roberts, and Carbonear closed all day.

  • Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility (including the Residential Drop Off) closed for the remainder of the day.

  • All recreation facilities operated by the City of St. John's are closed all day.

  • All City of Mount Pearl recreation facilities will be closed all day.

  • The Braided Rugs Workshop that was scheduled to take place in Carbonear has been cancelled. This workshop will be rescheduled to a future date.

  • The community walk-in clinic, located at 50 Mundy Pond Rd, St. John’s, will be closed.

  • The collaborative team clinic centre, located at 7 Pippy Place, St. John’s, will be closed.

  • The COVID-19 vaccination clinic for children aged six months to 11 years old at Mount Pearl Square will be closed. Clients will be contacted to reschedule their appointments.

  • The planned closure of both the external and internal entrances to the emergency department at the Health Sciences Centre on Sunday, January 22, 2023 has been postponed. This closure will now be in effect as of Sunday, January 28, 2023.
