St. John’s seeks resident for Anti-Racism Working Group

The City of St. John’s is seeking applications from residents interested in serving on its Anti-Racism Working Group.

The Office of the City Clerk is looking to fill one vacancy in the category of residents with relevant lived experience and connections to diverse communities.

The Anti-Racism Working Group is responsible for developing and implementing a work plan aimed at fostering anti-racism and promoting diversity and inclusion within the City of St. John’s.

The group also provides solution-based recommendations to city council and staff.

The roles, responsibilities and terms for working group members are outlined in the group’s Terms of Reference.

Residents interested in applying can complete the city’s online application form. Applications must be submitted by Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026.

The city says meetings generally take place Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., although evening meetings may occasionally be scheduled.
