St. John’s announces Thanksgiving Day holiday schedule

City offices and community centres in St. John’s will be closed Monday, October 12, for the Thanksgiving Day holiday.

Curbside waste collection will be postponed from Monday to Tuesday, October 13, alongside regular Tuesday collection. Residents should expect possible delays, as crews will collect waste from two areas.

The Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility will also be closed to residential and commercial users on Monday.

All city parking bylaws remain in effect, but paid parking regulations will not be enforced because Monday is a Shops Closing Holiday.

Public washrooms will remain open at Bannerman Park, Bowring Park, Kenny’s Pond and Quidi Vidi Lake.
