Some unsettled weather on Sunday for parts of NL


Some unsettled weather is on the horizon for the west coast of Newfoundland and southeastern Labrador. There are wind and rainfall warnings in place.


Strong winds are expected along the west coast. For Bay St. George, Corner Brook, Gros Morne, and Parson's Pond to Hawke's Bay wind gusts from 80 to 110 km/h are possible on Sunday. In the Wreckhouse area gusts to 100 km/h are expected from Sunday morning until Sunday afternoon.


For the Burgeo to Ramea area and Channel-Port aux Basques and vicinity, rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 mm, except 50 in the heaviest rain, is expected on Sunday.


In southeastern Labrador from Red Bay to L'Anse-au-Clair rainfall of 30 mm is expected. Inland and over higher terrain 10 to 15 cm of snow could fall from Sunday morning until Sunday evening.
