Snowy night ahead for Newfoundland

A pulse of energy will push across Newfoundland overnight, bringing precipitation to the Island.
Across the west coast tonight, expect 5 to 10 cm of snow. Approximately 2 cm of snow is expected to fall in central Newfoundland. For the Avalon and Burin, snow will start this evening and then transition to rain. Snowfall amounts of 3 to 5 cm are expected, followed by 2 to 4 mm of rain. Wind gusts to 60 km/h are possible over the Avalon and the south coast. Lows tonight will range from minus 15 to minus 2.
Across Labrador tonight, expect clear skies for coastal and central sections and cloudy periods in western areas. Lows from minus 31 to minus 22 are expected.
