Snowy morning on the Avalon Peninsula

Residents on the Avalon Peninsula are waking up to a lot of snow this morning.

Snow began last night around 10:00 p.m. and continued for the night.

Snow will continue this morning making for a messy morning commute.

This morning we will not only see snow but we will also see winds gusting to about 60 km/h which will cause blowing snow reducing visibility.

Conditions will improve by early this afternoon. There could be another system for Sunday night into Monday.
