Shortly after at 5:00 p.m. Officers with the Royal Newfoundland

Constabulary (RNC) along with other emergency agencies received a report of a snowmobile through the ice between Harry Lake and Little Wabush Lake.

Police say, the three occupants were on the snowmobile, when the vehicle and a attached sled went through the ice. Noen of the opponents sustained serious injuries reportedly but the individuals went to hospital for precaution.

Police want to remind the public to use caution operating snowmobiles on bodies of water due to the lower water levels this year and late start to the snowmobile season. Officials say the rivers in particular have multiple open areas. It is recommended to remain on the groomed trails.
