As the area of low pressure that brought unsettled weather on Monday departs, there is a risk of snow squalls today along the west and south coasts of Newfoundland.

Snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 cm are expected between now and Thursday in the heaviest snow squalls. Remember that snow squalls can develop quickly, sometimes with little warning, creating dangerous travel conditions. Unlike a widespread snowstorm, snow squalls usually affect a small area.

Sun and cloud is expected for inland areas of the Island today. It will also be noticeably colder.

Clear skies are expected across Labrador with gusty winds and bitterly cold weather continuing.
