Snow, Rain, and Strong wind Headed to NL #nlwx

It is going to be a very unsettled day across Newfoundland and Labrador.

Today across Newfoundland there will be some rain and strong winds moving in. Rainfall amounts of 20 to 25 mm are expected over the Avalon, 15 to 20 mm is expected in most of central Newfoundland and about 10 to 15 mm for the west coast. Winds will also gust from 60 km/h to 100 km/h. Due to the counterclockwise spin of the low over Labrador, some snow is expected along the west coast of Newfoundland on Wednesday and Thursday.

In Labrador it will be pleasant today, the stormy weather moves in tonight and will linger through tomorrow. Significant snowfall is expected. Amounts for coastal sections could reach 30 to 40 cm. The snow will continue on Wednesday and linger on Thursday. As temperatures wise on Thursday, the snow may transition to rain in some areas.
