Snow, Rain, and Strong Wind Expected Across Parts of Newfoundland #nlwx
An area of low pressure will approach Newfoundland from the south and bring rain, snow, and strong winds to the island beginning tonight.
Rain will begin on the Burin and Southern Avalon by about 6:00 pm this evening and snow will commence for areas west of about Harbour Breton. Snow and rain will spread across Newfoundland overnight. There is a risk of freezing rain in a northeast line from about François to Bonavista North. Precipitation will clear by Wednesday night.
The winds will pick up on Wednesday morning. On The southern and eastern Avalon Peninsula, wind gusts to 90 km/h are possible on Wednesday morning into the afternoon. Winds will diminish overnight.
