Severe weather continues to pound Newfoundland and Southeastern Labrador.

About 2 to 5 cm of snow is expected over eastern Newfoundland overnight. In addition, winds will gust between 100 and 140 km/h, causing widespread whiteout conditions and violent winds that will cause damage. Across the west coast, a further 5 to 15 cm of snow is expected with winds gusting from 100 to 120 km/h. Lows across the Island will range from minus 8 to minus 1.

For southeastern sections of Labrador, further snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are expected with winds tonight gusting from 80 to 110 km/h. Conditions will be calmer across the remainder of the Big Land. In Labrador, expect lows from minus 25 to minus 15.
