Slight changes at the pumps

Overnight, all types of gas decreased by up to 0.1 cents per litre, while diesel prices on the Island increased by up to 0.5 cents per litre.

Diesel motor fuel in western Labrador increased by 0.6 cents per litre.

Heating fuel prices also increased. Furnace oil on the Island rose by 0.38 cents per litre, while stove oil in western Labrador increased by 0.58 cents per litre.

The changes were based on the most recently available market data as of the close of business on Aug. 20, 2026, and did not reflect more recent market activity.

The Board's next scheduled price adjustment was set for Tuesday, Aug. 25.
