Significant storm continues across the province #nlwx

In Newfoundland, rain, snow, and strong winds are expected today. Areas along the west coast seeing snow, will see a transition to rain. Rain is expected for the Island, but the main issue is the strong winds. Coastal areas will see wind gusts from 80 to 100 km/h, except 120 to 130 along parts of the coast. Wreckhouse will see gusts to 150 km/h.
Across Labrador, snow and blowing snow will be the order of the day. The interior from Churchill Valley to Eagle River, including Happy Valley-Goose Bay and southeastern Labrador from Red Bay to Cartwright will see 10 to 20 cm of snow except 30 cm in some areas. The Labrador coast from Rigolet to Nain will see 10 to 15 cm, except up to 25 cm over higher terrain.
