Rain expected for many areas today

Temperatures are in the mid-teens across the Island as you step outside this morning, and it is a touch cooler in parts of Labrador.

There is a chance of showers across portions of central Newfoundland this morning. Along the west coast, rain is expected to continue, with 2 mm expected along the southwest coast, 5 mm in Corner Brook and 5 to 10 mm in Port Saunders. Expect highs from 13 to 19.

Across western and central Labrador, rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 mm are expected. Nain will receive 5 mm of rain. Highs from 7 to 13 are expected.

It will also be a windy day across the province, with gusts near 60 to 70 for parts of the Island and coastal Labrador.
