Québec media reports MOU reached on Churchill Falls hydroelectric project

Québec media outlet La Presse is reporting that Newfoundland and Labrador and Québec have reached an agreement on the Churchill Falls hydroelectric project.

The provincial government has not made any announcement.

Ottawa played a role in the discussions.

The next Québec provincial general election is scheduled for October 5, 2026.
