Public Invited to Take Part in Independent Review of Churchill River Agreement

The Independent Churchill River Review Committee launched a new website to invite public participation in its independent assessment of the Memorandum of Understanding with Hydro-Québec and to determine whether the agreement is in the province’s long-term interests.

The website was introduced to give residents across Newfoundland and Labrador an opportunity to share their views as part of the review process.

The committee said it was seeking public input to help inform its assessment and encouraged Newfoundlanders and Labradorians to make submissions through the Public Participation section of the website.

Submissions must be received by Saturday, March 1, 2026.
