Power still out for many across the eastern portion of the Island

This morning, there are still thousands of people without power as a ferocious storm continues to batter the province.

The outages this morning are concentrated on the Avalon Peninsula, Burin Peninsula, through to Clarenville, Gander, and the Grand Falls-Windsor region.

Restoration work is underway as strong winds continue.
