Police find weapon during traffic stop in CBS

On Sunday morning, the RNC attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the centre city area of St. John's.

The vehicle fled from police. A short time later, the vehicle was located in Conception Bay South.

The male driver was arrested, and his vehicle was searched. During the search, officers located a weapon. The male driver was charged with possession of a

weapon for a dangerous purpose, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and

flight from police.

The accused was held to appear in court.
