No Injuries following vehicle fire in St. John’s | Friday evening

The St. John’s Regional Fire Department made quick work of a vehicle fire in the Kenmount area of St. John's Friday evening.

Emergency crews from St. John's Regional Fire Department (SJRFD) and Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) responded to the call of service, shortly after 8:50 p.m. with muiltple reports of a vehicle fire on Kelsey Drive.

The vehicle in question, which was a newer model SUV, was sitting in a parking spot just north of the Dollorstore on Kelsey Drive, when the owner seen smoke coming from inside the vehicle.

The lone occupant was not injured in the incident, but was obviously shaken up.

Firefighers were quick to the scene and knocked the flames, which were contained to the inside of the vehicle.
