Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services reverses decision on leave restrictions

After a backlash from unions, Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services has reversed a decision announced just a few hours prior regarding leave restrictions during the go-live of the new health information system.

NAPE issued a statement calling for the directive to be revoked immediately. The Registered Nurses’ Union demanded that NL Health Services immediately reverse the policy.

Both unions say they were no consulted. NL Health Services says that consultations were held with the unions prior to the announcement.
