Newfound News signs agreement with CustomWeather to provide forecasts

Some big changes are coming to the weather section of our website!

Newfound News has signed an agreement with CustomWeather, whose team of meteorologists provides premium global weather data including sophisticated weather forecasts.

Under this agreement, Newfound News will provide current conditions featuring current condition descriptions, temperature, wind speed and direction, humidity, comfort level, UV index, dew point, miles of visibility barometric pressure and tendency.

There will also be a detailed forecast for the next 48 hours, broken into four segments per day. Each segment will provide condition descriptions, high/low temperatures, wind speed and direction, humidity, comfort level, UV index, expected and probability of precipitation, 6-hr forecast precipitation amounts, and miles of visibility. The information is updated four times per day.

There will also be a 15-day forecast with condition descriptions, high/low temperatures, wind speed and direction, dew point, humidity, comfort level, UV index, probability of precipitation, rainfall and snowfall amounts. The information is updated four times per day.
