On the Avalon Peninsula, snow or ice pellets will start this morning and then change to rain or freezing rain in the afternoon.


In Central Newfoundland and along the south coast, snow will start this morning then change to ice pellets or freezing rain this afternoon.


Freezing rain or rain will change to rain this morning in Channel-Port aux Basques. Bay St. George will see snow at times mixed with ice pellets changing to freezing rain mixed with rain in the morning then to drizzle or rain near noon. In the Corner Brook area, snow at times mixed with ice pellets will change to freezing rain mixed with rain late in the morning, then to drizzle or rain showers in the afternoon.


On the Northern Peninsula, snow will begin this morning then change to ice pellets or freezing rain this afternoon with 2 to 4 cm expected.


For Labrador City, Wabush, and Churchill Falls, 10 to 15 cm of snow is expected today. Upper Lake Melville will see amounts near 10 cm. Eagle River will see about 5 cm today. For central sections of Labrador, the weather will start out fair with light snow this afternoon. More snow is expected across Labrador tonight.
