Messy road conditions in eastern Newfoundland

It's a messy morning on the roads. After some snow overnight roads on the Avalon Peninsula and portions of eastern Newfoundland are snow-covered. There is water buildup in some areas with localized flooding.

If you are heading out this morning exercise extreme caution.

Overnight, areas inland and over higher elevations received a few centimetres of wet snow. The precipitation has since changed to rain over most areas and rain will continue for most of the day with up to 25 millimetres possible.
