Impaired driver arrested after crashing vehicle on Kelsey Drive

At 8:46 pm Friday evening the RNC responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of Kelsey Drive in St. John’s.

On scene Police observed a vehicle that had hit a guardrail and a light pole.

Officers identified the 44-year-old male driver. He was then arrested and later charged with impaired driving and failing the breathalyzer. Officers determined that he had more than two and a half times the legal amount of alcohol in his system.

His license was seized, his vehicle impounded, and he was released to appear in court at a later date.
