Hot and humid weather expected today

Today is the first day back to school for students across the province, but it won't feel that way!

A low just east of Nova Scotia will deliver rain to parts of Newfoundland today. Rain in the form of showers is expected across the south coast and west coast.

We'll eventually see skies clear on the Avalon and Central. Highs today will range from 18 to 26 on the Island. With the humidex, it will feel like the low to mid-30s for most areas.

In Labrador, nice weather is expected. Highs will range from 24 to 30. Humidex values in the low 30s are expected.
