Heavy Snow Expected for the Eastern Avalon #nlwx

Some heavy snow is on the way to eastern sections of the Avalon Peninsula for Friday.

There is a snowfall warning in effect for St. John's and vicinity and the Avalon Peninsula Southeast.

Total snowfall amounts near 15 cm are expected overnight tonight until early Friday afternoon.

Snow will taper off to flurries in the afternoon.

Travel will likely be impacted.
