Heavy rain expected for parts of the Island #nlwx

Showers are expected on the Avalon Peninsula this morning but will move out this afternoon before very heavy rain moves in later this afternoon and will last until Thursday with amounts of 60 to 80 mm possible.

The remainder of Newfoundland today will see nicer weather.

Across Labrador, some snow is expected to continue for most areas today.

Highs between 5 and 10 are expected across the Island and highs from 0 to -6 are expected across Labrador.
