Heavy rain and strong winds on the menu today #nlwx

Over the Avalon Peninsula rain will be heavy at times today. The rain will linger through Thursday. The heaviest rain will fall this afternoon. In total, over 60 mm is possible.

Winds will also be strong across Newfoundland with gusts between 50 and 80 km/h.

In central Newfoundland, rain is expected, but to a much lesser extent and snow is on the menu for the west coast.

Across Labrador, a few flurries are possible in eastern and coastal areas.
