Gasoline, Diesel and Home Heating Fuel Prices Drop Again

The Public Utilities Board reduced the maximum price of all grades of gasoline by 4.5 cents per litre.
Diesel prices on the Island fell by 4.1 cents per litre, while diesel prices in western Labrador dropped by 5.1 cents per litre.
Home heating fuels also became less expensive. Furnace oil on the Island decreased by 3.56 cents per litre, while stove oil in western Labrador fell by 4.70 cents per litre.
The Board said the adjustments were based on the most recent market data available as of the close of business on Aug. 4, 2026, and did not reflect any changes in global energy markets that occurred after that date.
The next scheduled fuel price adjustment was set for Friday, Aug. 7, 2026.
