Motorists and homeowners in Newfoundland and Labrador paid slightly more for fuel after the latest maximum price adjustment took effect.

All grades of gasoline increased by up to 0.2 cents per litre, while diesel prices on the Island rose by up to 1.5 cents per litre. Diesel prices in western Labrador also increased by 1.5 cents per litre.

The maximum price for furnace oil on the Island increased by up to 1.24 cents per litre, while stove oil in western Labrador rose by 1.34 cents per litre.

The fuel price adjustments were based on the most recent market data available as of the close of business on July 28, and did not reflect more recent market activity.

The next scheduled fuel price adjustment by the province's fuel regulator is set for Friday, July 31.
