Fuel prices increased across Newfoundland and Labrador following the latest adjustment by the Public Utilities Board.

All types of gasoline increased by up to 6.4 cents per litre.

Diesel prices on the Island increased by up to 12.2 cents per litre, while diesel in western Labrador increased by 11.9 cents per litre.

Heating fuel prices also increased. Furnace oil on the Island rose by up to 10.58 cents per litre, while stove oil in western Labrador increased by 10.25 cents per litre.

The Public Utilities Board said the changes were based on the most recently available market data as of the close of business Aug. 10.

The board noted the adjustments did not reflect more recent market activity.

The next scheduled fuel price adjustment was set for Thursday, Aug. 13.
