Fuel prices increase again

Fuel prices increased across Newfoundland and Labrador following the latest adjustment by the Newfoundland and Labrador Public Utilities Board.

Gasoline prices increased by up to 4.2 cents per litre across the province.

On the Island, diesel prices increased by up to 2.8 cents per litre, while diesel in western Labrador increased by 3.2 cents per litre.

Furnace oil heating fuel prices on the Island increased by 2.36 cents per litre, while stove oil heating fuel in western Labrador increased by 2.96 cents per litre.

The changes were based on market data available as of the close of business on Aug. 6 and did not reflect more recent market activity.

The Public Utilities Board's next scheduled fuel price adjustment is set for Tuesday, Aug. 11.
