Maximum fuel prices increased across Newfoundland and Labrador following the latest adjustment by the Board of Commissioners of Public Utilities.

All types of gasoline motor fuel increased by up to 2.5 cents per litre, while diesel motor fuel on the Island increased by up to 10.7 cents per litre.

In Labrador, diesel prices in western areas increased by 11.2 cents per litre.

Heating fuel prices also rose. Furnace oil on the Island increased by 9.23 cents per litre, while stove oil in western Labrador increased by 9.95 cents per litre.

The price changes were based on the most recently available market data at the close of business on September 1, 2026. As a result, they did not reflect more recent market activity.

The Board’s next price adjustment is scheduled for Friday, September 4, 2026.
