Fuel prices decrease slightly

Maximum fuel prices decreased across Newfoundland and Labrador following the latest adjustment by the Newfoundland and Labrador Board of Commissioners of Public Utilities.

Gasoline prices decreased by up to 0.8 cents per litre across the province.

On the Island, diesel prices decreased by up to 1.4 cents per litre, while diesel prices in western Labrador decreased by 0.9 cents per litre.

Furnace oil heating fuel prices on the Island decreased by 1.18 cents per litre. Stove oil heating fuel prices in western Labrador decreased by 0.68 cents per litre.

The changes were based on market data available at the close of business on Aug. 25, 2026, and did not reflect subsequent market activity.

The board's next scheduled fuel price adjustment was set for Friday, Aug. 28, 2026.
