Flu and COVID-19 vaccination clinics to begin October 20 across Newfoundland and Labrador

Vaccination clinics for influenza and COVID-19 will begin across Newfoundland and Labrador on Monday, October 20, the Department of Health and Community Services announced.
Residents are encouraged to book appointments by visiting timefortheshot.ca
or by checking with their family doctor, nurse practitioner, or local pharmacy for vaccine availability.
COVID-19 Vaccine
The COVID-19 vaccine will be available to everyone six months of age and older.
It is strongly recommended for people at higher risk of severe infection, including:
Adults aged 65 and older
Residents of senior congregate living facilities
People with underlying medical conditions
Pregnant individuals
Members of First Nation, Inuit, or Métis communities
Influenza Vaccine
The influenza vaccine will also be available to everyone six months of age and older, with a strong recommendation for those at higher risk, including:
Children aged six months to five years
Adults aged 65 and older
Residents of senior congregate living facilities
People with certain medical conditions that increase the risk of flu complications
Pregnant individuals
Members of First Nation, Inuit, or Métis communities
