FFAW members at Altera enter strike position
FFAW-Unifor members at Altera Management ULC have voted to reject the company’s latest offer.
As a result, the union is now in a position to take further steps including job action.
Members at Altera have been engaged in the negotiation process with management for over a year and a half and express their disappointment that no agreement has been reached through bargaining or the federal conciliation process.
There are 66 members with the bargaining unit at Altera who staff three shuttle tankers that transport crude oil for the offshore petroleum industry.
