Emergency Responders Complete Rescue near Irishtown-Summerside

At approximately 1:40 p.m. on Sunday the RNC responded to a report of a medical emergency in a wooded area near Hann’s Lookout.

With the help of passerby who was travelling on an off-road vehicle, officers quickly located the two individuals. The Bay of Islands Search and Rescue Team was then engaged to arrange a helicopter transport.

The 64-year-old man was successfully removed from the wooded area by helicopter and transferred to an ambulance for transport to Western Memorial Regional Hospital.
