Electronics recycling program expands in Newfoundland and Labrador

The electronics recycling program in Newfoundland and Labrador is expanding to accept more types of electronic products for recycling.


EPRA/Recycle My Electronics Newfoundland and Labrador announced the expansion, highlighting efforts to keep electronic waste out of landfills.


The program operates more than 80 drop-off locations across the province.


According to EPRA/Recycle My Electronics, more than 10,000 metric tonnes of electronic waste have been diverted from Newfoundland and Labrador landfills since the program began. The figure is current to July 31, 2026.


The organization says the expanded program will provide residents and businesses with additional options for responsibly recycling unwanted electronics.


EPRA/Recycle My Electronics is an industry-led, not-for-profit organization that operates regulated electronics recycling programs across Canada. The Newfoundland and Labrador program is government-approved and operates under the province’s electronic products recycling requirements.
