An early morning collision on Penneywell Road on Wednesday has left two vehicles extensively damaged and one man facing multiple driving infractions after attempting to flee the scene.
RNC responded to the crash around 5:19 a.m. on Wednesday. Upon arrival, officers found that a moving vehicle had struck a parked car.
Witnesses on the scene reported that the driver responsible had fled the area on foot.
A short time later, police located a 56-year-old male nearby and determined he had been behind the wheel at the time of the collision.
Following the investigation, the man was issued several summary offence tickets, including driving with a suspended license, operating a vehicle without insurance, driving with expired registration, and failing to notify the Motor Registration Division of a vehicle ownership transfer.
He was released at the scene and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
