The six Newfoundland and Labrador credit unions are participating in a province-wide food drive to raise awareness of food insecurity in the province and to maximize their impact on local communities.

The participating credit unions are Atlantic Edge Credit Union, Community Credit Union, NLCU, Public Service Credit Union, Reddy Kilowatt Credit Union, and Venture Credit Union.

A total of 37 credit union branch locations across the province are collecting donations of non-perishable foods for their local food banks. Cash donations are also accepted and will be provided to the Community Food Sharing Association and local food banks. Donations will be accepted at all credit union branches until November 14.

Cory Munden, CEO, Atlantic Edge Credit Union: “This food drive is more than a seasonal campaign; it’s a reflection of our values. We believe in showing up for our communities, not just in words, but in action.”
